The passenger of An-24 told about the reasons of the refusal of flight

Marina Avalyan, a passenger of the An-24 that crashed in the Amur Region, canceled the flight at the last moment due to her granddaughter's illness. She told Izvestia about this on July 26.

At that time, Avalyan was visiting her daughter in Blagoveshchensk and was supposed to fly to her home in Tynda on July 24. The woman arrived at the airport, checked in, but did not have time to board the plane.

"We waited in the bus for probably five minutes, the driver didn't even open the doors. And a representative of the Angara airline came, <...> explained that for reasons that the weather conditions were bad in Tynda, Tynda would not accept us and we were not allowed off the bus. We weren't even on the plane," she said.

At the airport, Avalyan learned that her granddaughter was ill. Because of this, the passenger decided to return. As soon as the grandmother arrived home, the granddaughter had all the symptoms, said Avalyan's daughter Ani Zimina. They found out about the tragedy later. After the incident, Avalyan called her granddaughter a "guardian angel."

"I had no premonitions, but my daughter had a premonition, one hundred percent. <...> Because there are no more symptoms, everything went away as soon as Mom returned home. <...> The ambulance said they didn't see any problems <...>. <...> She felt it and thus got her grandmother out of there," Zimina shared.

Shortly before the An-24 crash, Rostransnadzor suspended eight aircraft and four airline employees from flights.
