The UK can recognize the State of Palestine after the completion of the process to resolve the conflict in the region and a cease-fire. This was announced on July 25 by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, in a video message posted on the social network X (Ex. Twitter).

"Together with our closest allies, I am working on a strategy to bring peace to the region, with a focus on practical solutions that will change the lives of those suffering as a result of the war. This strategy will include the concrete steps necessary to transform the much-needed ceasefire into a lasting peace. The recognition of a Palestinian State should be one of these steps. My position on this issue is unequivocal," he said.

The message published by the politician notes that Britain intends to "make every effort" to provide the Palestinians with food and other necessary assistance. According to him, it is also urgently necessary to evacuate children who require urgent medical intervention.

On July 24, French President Emmanuel Macron announced his intention to recognize the State of Palestine. He noted that this will contribute to ending the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the Gaza Strip, as well as rescue and comprehensive assistance to local residents. On the same day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the decision, considering it an encouragement of terror.

On July 25, US President Donald Trump called Macron's statement about the recognition of Palestine irrelevant. In addition, he called the French leader "a different type of person" and a "team player," noting that he likes him.
