In Germany, they reported on the need for a later retirement of German citizens
German Economy Minister Katerina Reiche said that due to the demographic situation in the country, Germans should retire later. She said this in an interview with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) on July 25.
"Demographic changes and the continued increase in life expectancy make this inevitable: the length of working life should increase. We must put an end to the incentive for early retirement and create incentives for longer work," Reiche said.
She added that German residents work less than citizens of other countries around the world. She stressed that an American works an average of 1.8 thousand hours, while a German works just over 1.3 thousand hours.
Earlier, on June 3, it was reported that the Vietnamese authorities had lifted a policy limiting the number of children in a family to two in order to stop the decline in the birth rate in the country. It is noted that the Vietnamese authorities allowed couples to decide for themselves when to have children and in what quantity.
