Relatives and friends of the president of the CSKA football club Evgeny Giner and his son Vadim could have lost more than 1.2 billion rubles by investing in the Hermesplat trading platform, which eventually turned out to be a pyramid scheme. This follows from the documents available to Izvestia.

According to them, at least two members of the Giner family, as well as one of Vadim Giner's assistants, invested more than $1.7 million in Hermesplat, and only $3 thousand could be withdrawn from their accounts on the eve of the collapse of the pyramid.

In total, about 20 people have registered on the Hermesplat platform through invitation links sent from a postal address that probably belongs to Vadim Giner. They invested about $17.1 million in futures trading (more than 1.3 billion rubles at the current exchange rate).

The organizers of the exchange promised clients a yield of up to 100% per month. But it turned out that the trades were fictitious, and the investors' money was transferred to the Hermesplat owners' crypto wallets and appropriated.

As a result, investors associated with Vadim Giner were able to withdraw only $874,000 from their accounts. Thus, they suffered damage of about $16.2 million, or 1.27 billion rubles, from the exchange's activities.

"They (the Gineers. — Ed.) the application to the Department of Internal Affairs for the Central Administrative District of Moscow has been written, I spoke with Vadik personally. He is also among the injured," a source told Izvestia.

In total, several thousand people "traded" on Hermesplat. The victims estimate the damage caused by the financial pyramid scheme at several billion rubles. Some of them have already filed statements to the police about the initiation of a criminal case.
