Russian hockey player, captain of the hockey club (HC) of the National Hockey League (NHL) Washington Capitals Alexander Ovechkin will play in the All-Star Game at the OviCup hockey tournament. This was reported on July 24 in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Sports of the Moscow region.

Vyacheslav Fetisov, Valery Kamensky, Alexey Morozov, Ilya Kovalchuk, Pavel Datsyuk, Andrey Nikolishin, Alexander Guskov and Sergey Konkov will take part in the star game. Current NHL hockey players Kirill Kaprizov, Dmitry Orlov, Igor Shesterkin, Mikhail Sergachev, Matvey Michkov, Kirill Marchenko and Egor Zamula will also take to the ice.

The match will take place on August 9 at the Mytishchi Arena. Evgeny Plushenko, Dmitry Sychev, Roman Rotenberg and Kamil Gadzhiev will join the team.

At the end of the All-Star Match, the final of the tournament among young hockey players will take place. Alexander Ovechkin will personally award the winners.
