The Lipetsk interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office has filed a lawsuit demanding to recover 172 million rubles from the agricultural enterprise for damage caused to the Don and Voronezh rivers as a result of illegal water intake. The prosecutor's office of the Lipetsk region announced this in its Telegram channel on Thursday, July 24.
"It has been established that the Moscow on Don LLC company has been illegally taking water for production needs from the Don and Voronezh rivers for several months, not complying with the requirements for the conservation of aquatic biological resources and their habitat," the report says.
The territorial administration of Rosrybolovstvo, based on the prosecutor's decision, brought the company to justice. According to Part 1 of Article 8.48 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, she must pay a fine of 100 thousand rubles, and according to Part 2 of Article 8.48 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation — 50 thousand rubles (these are the minimum fines provided for in these parts of the article. — Ed.).
