Zakharova pointed to the West's desire to score points on the reconciliation of Baku and Yerevan

The "Western rails" in the dialogue between Baku and Yerevan may threaten to unbalance the region. This was stated on July 24 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in response to a question from Izvestia.

"The Westerners aim to put the reconciliation process between Baku and Yerevan on their own tracks. We also know where these rails usually lead," she said at a briefing.

According to her, such actions are being taken by Western countries in order to "score political points once again" and declare their own successes. However, according to Zakharova, this could lead to an imbalance of security in the region and undermine the self-sufficiency of countries.
