The completion of restoration work at the Gorodetsky hydroelectric complex on the Volga in the Nizhny Novgorod region is expected on July 26. This was announced on July 24 by the press service of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

"The completion of restoration work at the Gorodetsky hydroelectric complex is expected on July 26. Such dates are determined after a comprehensive examination of the head, a concrete bridge that connects the chambers of locks 15 and 16," the Telegram channel says.

It is noted that the main camera is not damaged. After the restoration work, Rostransnadzor plans to conduct a security check. It is specified that the chamber will be filled with water and test launches will be carried out, and navigation is expected to be restored later.

At the moment, divers have already managed to inspect part of the emergency head, while specialists have cut off the surface part. In addition, the earth bridge was filled out by 95%. According to the Ministry of Transport, the work is carried out around the clock.

On July 22, the Ministry of Transport established an operational headquarters to coordinate work at the Gorodetsky hydroelectric complex on the Volga. According to the ministry, the necessary equipment is in place, including 17 dump trucks, a tugboat, a crane and excavators with a hydraulic hammer.
