Almost 30 beaches have been recognized as safe for recreation in Primorye
A comprehensive inspection of recreation areas near the water is being carried out in Primorsky Krai. The events are attended by specialists from the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and representatives of Rospotrebnadzor, the police and municipal administrations.
26 beaches have been recognized as safe for swimming, writes PrimaMedia news agency. In Vladivostok, recreation areas have become such beaches in the area of the 100th Anniversary of Vladivostok Avenue, Lazurny Bereg, Makovsky (Primorye sanatorium of the Ministry of Internal Affairs), Tenth (Riviera Laguna), Artekovskaya (VDC Ocean), Sadgorodskaya (Disinfection Center) streets.
The agency clarifies that a law has been passed in the region to strengthen safety measures for children near the water. It prohibits children under the age of 14 from swimming and staying near the water unaccompanied by adults.
Earlier, on July 7, it was reported that a 49-year-old man drowned in Vladivostok in Ajax Bay on Russian Island. His body was found in the area of a popular beach in the city. On July 2, a 52-year-old man drowned near the Tokarevsky lighthouse in Vladivostok. On the same day, the discovery of the bodies of three drowned young men in the Mikhailovsky district of Primorye was reported.
