The Eastern Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee (ICUT) Russia has opened a criminal case in connection with the incident with the AN-24 passenger plane in the Amur region. This was reported on July 24 in the Telegram channel of the department.

"The Tynda Investigative Department for Transport of the Eastern Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic safety and aircraft operation rules, resulting in the death of more than three persons)," the message says.

In addition, the Tynda and Baikal-Angarsk Transport prosecutor's offices are conducting an audit of compliance with the requirements of flight safety legislation.
