Nine settlements in four municipalities of the Amur region were left without electricity after the thunderstorm. This was announced on July 24 by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Amur Region on the official website.
"At the moment, nine settlements in four municipalities (Belogorsky municipal District, Romnensky municipal District, the city of Belogorsk and the city of Svobodny) remain without electricity," the department said.
It was noted that electricity supply had been restored in the Ivanovo Municipal District. At the same time, repair work is currently underway.
"Information is being collected on damaged objects and fallen trees. Emergency recovery work has been organized," the department added.
Earlier, on July 16, more than 2.4 thousand people were left without electricity in the Irkutsk region due to a thunderstorm. In addition, 30 trees were felled by the wind in Irkutsk, and eight in Shelekhov. The emergency recovery teams of OGUE Oblkommunenergo and IESK, the road service of the Irkutsk region, were involved in the restoration work.
