Monument to Vladimir Vysotsky to be erected in Zheleznovodsk

A monument to the bard Vladimir Vysotsky is planned to be installed in the park. Stanislav Govorukhin in Zheleznovodsk (Stavropol Territory). Such plans were shared by the mayor of the city Evgeny Bakulin.

"This idea perfectly resonates with the concept of the park, because it was in Govorukhin's cult film Vertical that Vladimir Vysotsky played the main role, leaving an indelible mark on the history of cinema," the mayor explained.

According to StavropolMedia news agency, the feature film "Vertical" was released in 1967. The film tells about the climbers who went to conquer one of the peaks of the Caucasus Mountains. During the descent, the group finds themselves in a dangerous situation due to a thunderstorm.

Earlier it was reported that a chapel of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is planned to be built next to the Ostrovsky baths in Zheleznovodsk. The Church of the Intercession used to be located there, but it was destroyed.
