Austrian Ambassador to Moscow Almhofer completes his diplomatic mission in Russia

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko received Austrian Ambassador to Russia Werner Almhofer in Moscow in connection with the upcoming completion of his diplomatic mission in the country. This was announced on July 23 in the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"On July 23, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation A.V. Grushko received Austrian Ambassador to Moscow V. Almhofer in connection with the upcoming completion of his diplomatic mission in Russia," the publication says on the agency's website.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of Russian-Austrian relations and touched upon a number of practical bilateral issues.

It is noted that Moscow also gave principled assessments of the current security crisis in Europe, as well as the responsibility of NATO member states and the European Union (EU) for the destruction of its foundations.

Almhofer was appointed Austrian Ambassador to Russia in 2021.

On July 2, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that South Korean Ambassador Lee Do-hoon was completing his mission in Moscow. It is noted that the diplomat and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Andrey Rudenko discussed some issues of bilateral relations, as well as exchanged views on the situation on the Korean peninsula.
