- In Ukraine, they announced their intention to challenge the law on the restriction of NABU and SAP in court.
In Ukraine, they want to challenge the law on limiting the powers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) in the Constitutional Court. This was announced on July 22 by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
The law on the limitation of powers, which abolishes the independence of two anti-corruption agencies, NABU and SAP, entered into force on July 23. Earlier, it was signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
"The only thing that can be done now to remedy the situation is to demolish this taboo law in the Constitutional Court. There are so many articles of the regulations that were violated during its approval that it is quite realistic," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to Zheleznyak, signatures will be collected to challenge the law in court. This requires 45 signatures of deputies.
Earlier, on July 22, it was reported that mass rallies were being held on the territory of Ukraine due to the law on the restriction of the rights of NABU and SAP. In Kiev, the action took place near the Franko Theater. It is clarified that one of the posters at the rally held in Lviv stated that Zelensky's law is a "capitulation to corruption."
Gunnar Lindemann, a member of the German Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, told Izvestia on July 24 that the Kiev regime was putting pressure on NABU because it feared investigations into its own embezzlement.
