The Minister of Transport of the Novgorod region, Kuranov, was arrested in a bribery case

The Basmanny Court of Moscow has placed Konstantin Kuranov, Minister of Transport and Road Management of the Novgorod Region, under arrest in a case of receiving a particularly large bribe. This was reported to Izvestia on July 22 by the court's press service.

It is noted that the meeting was held on Friday, July 18. Kuranov is charged with Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receiving a bribe on an especially large scale"). He faces up to 15 years in prison.

"The resolution on the satisfaction of the petition entered into force on July 22," the portal of the courts of general jurisdiction of Moscow clarified.

Concrete evidence: The mayor of Krasnoyarsk faces up to 15 years in prison.

Vladislav Loginov was charged with accepting a bribe of more than 180 million rubles.

On July 18, it became known that Stanislav Shultsev, Deputy Chairman of the government of the Novgorod Region, was arrested in Moscow on charges of accepting a particularly large bribe. It was clarified that the court refused to satisfy the defense's request to choose another measure that was not related to detention.
