President Donald Trump is withdrawing the United States from a specialized agency of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which allegedly "supports divisive issues." This was reported by the New York Post on July 22.

"Trump has decided to withdraw the United States from UNESCO, which supports <...> divisive cultural and social issues that absolutely contradict the sound political measures that Americans voted for in November," the newspaper quoted White House Deputy press Secretary Anna Kelly as saying.

She noted that this president will always put America first and ensure that the country's membership in all international organizations is in line with national interests.
