Russia has expanded the geography of grain exports, and supplies to seven countries have been resumed. This was announced on July 22 by the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut at a meeting on the development of grain exports.

"Since 2016, we have been a leader in wheat supplies to the global market. Actually, we maintained our leadership last season and the same task is set for the current season...>We supply cereals to 108 countries around the world, and 70 of them are countries that import our wheat. We continue to expand the geography of our exports," said Lut.

According to her, last year Russia began deliveries to 11 new countries and resumed exports to seven countries that had previously suspended grain purchases.

This year, according to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture, grain exports from the Russian Federation in 2024/25 amounted to about 53 million tons, including 44 million tons of wheat.

Earlier in the day, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that Russia is one of the leaders in grain exports on the market and contributes to strengthening global food security. He stressed that the Russian Federation continues to be a reliable partner and fulfill its commercial obligations, including the supply of agricultural products.
