Mishustin noted Russia's leadership in the global grain market
Russia is one of the leaders in grain exports on the market and contributes to strengthening global food security. This was announced on July 22 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting on the development of grain exports.
"The high level of our own production allows us to supply agricultural products abroad. Thus, to make a significant contribution to strengthening global food security...> Russia is one of the leaders of the global market here," Mishustin was quoted as saying by TASS.
According to him, in 2024, almost 130 million tons of grain and legumes were harvested. Such indicators completely covered the internal needs of citizens and allowed them to send record volumes for sale to other countries. Mishustin stressed that Russia continues to be a reliable partner and fulfill its commercial obligations, including the supply of agricultural products. He added that Russia will continue to increase grain supplies abroad.
Earlier, on July 18, it was reported that in the first half of 2025, the number of participants in the agro-industrial sector increased by 0.24%. It was specified that the increase in the number of new enterprises amounted to 17.75% by the first half of 2024.
