The Russian Ministry of Labor proposed to set the minimum wage from January 1, 2026 in the amount of 27,093 rubles, which is 20.7%. This was announced on July 20 by Anton Kotyakov, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation.
"The adopted approaches to setting the minimum wage make it possible to ensure the fulfillment of the president's instructions to accelerate the growth of the minimum wage. Taking into account the current level of the median salary in 2026, the minimum wage is proposed to be set at 27,093 rubles. Thus, the minimum wage will increase by 20.7%, that is, above inflation," he told reporters.
