- Traffic on the southern section of the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro line has been suspended in Moscow.
Traffic was stopped on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line of the Moscow metro from Oktyabrskaya to Belyaevo due to rain. This was announced on July 21 in the press service of the metropolitan Department of Transport.
"There is no traffic on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line (6) from Oktyabrskaya station to Belyaevo station," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.
It is noted that trains travel in the opposite direction at extended intervals. Later it was reported that train traffic had returned to the schedule.
In addition, the press service of the Moscow Railway (MZHD) announced the closure of the pedestrian tunnel at the MCD-2 Pavshino station due to flooding.
"In this regard, the tunnel is currently closed for passage, passengers are temporarily not boarding or disembarking at the station," the department added on its Telegram channel.
On the same day, the Department of Transport reported that heavy rains and winds of up to 15 m/s covered Moscow and would continue until the end of the day. They advised drivers to avoid sudden maneuvers, not to be distracted by the phone while driving, and not to park cars under trees or rickety structures.
