A criminal case was opened after a bus accident in Yakutia
A criminal case was opened in Yakutia after an accident involving a bus in which 13 people died. This was reported on July 21 in the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the region.
"A criminal case has been opened into the death and injury of mine workers in the Neryungrinsky district," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.
It is specified that the case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence").
Specialists have already started carrying out a complex of investigative actions aimed at establishing the causes of the accident.
On the same day, the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reported that a shift bus had left the road and overturned in Yakutia. Later, the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said that as a result of the incident, 13 people were killed and 20 injured.
