A child died in an accident involving a moped in the Yaroslavl region.

A moped hit three pedestrians with a wheelchair in the Yaroslavl region, killing a five-month-old baby. This was announced on July 20 by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

It is specified that the incident occurred in the village of Ishnya. According to preliminary information, the driver, driving a moped, ran over three pedestrians who were walking with a wheelchair on the side of the road.

"As a result of the accident, pedestrians with injuries were taken to the hospital. Subsequently, a five—month-old girl died from her injuries," the press service said in a Telegram channel.

Law enforcement officers are working at the scene of the incident. Additional circumstances of the accident are being established.
