- The Russian Foreign Ministry assessed the possibility of new exchanges within the framework of negotiations with Ukraine.
The Russian Federation is ready for new negotiations and humanitarian steps, including the exchange of prisoners of war and the transfer of the bodies of the dead. This was stated to Izvestia by the Ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry for crimes of the Kiev regime Rodion Miroshnik.
"Russia has repeatedly said that it is ready for negotiations and humanitarian actions, including the exchange and transfer of bodies. Therefore, where there is this humanitarian need, Russia is certainly developing this topic. The only thing is that, for certain reasons, this should be officially announced exclusively by those people who are authorized to talk about it," he said, answering the question whether Russia is ready for a new exchange of prisoners of war and bodies as part of the third round of negotiations with Ukraine.
On July 19, Kiev invited Moscow to hold a meeting of the delegations this week. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that "the negotiating dynamics must be increased." A source in the Russian negotiating group confirmed that Russia has received Ukraine's proposals, but there are no exact dates for the meeting yet.
