Netanyahu was diagnosed with intestinal inflammation
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suffered intestinal inflammation due to spoiled food, and therefore was absent from a cabinet meeting. This was reported by The Times of Israel on July 20.
"Netanyahu felt unwell overnight, according to the Prime Minister's office, and was examined at his home by Dr. Alon Gershko, director of the Department of Internal Medicine at Hadassah Ein Kerem University Hospital," the material says.
At the doctor's insistence, the head of state will work from home for the next three days.
It is clarified that Netanyahu has been struggling with health problems in recent years. In 2023, he underwent surgery to install a pacemaker after suffering a transient heart block. In March 2024, he underwent hernia surgery, and at the end of December 2024, his prostate was removed.
On July 18, the Daily Mail reported that more than 140 people had suffered from gastrointestinal illness on board a cruise ship bound from Los Angeles to Mexico. Seven crew members and 134 passengers aboard the Navigator of the Seas reported symptoms such as vomiting, stomach cramps and diarrhea.
