A group of kayaking tourists disappeared while rafting on the White Sea

A tourist group of seven people disappeared in the White Sea, they are being searched for in Karelia. This was announced on July 20 by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It is specified that the group was not registered with the Ministry of Emergency Situations and went kayaking. According to the agency, the route followed from the ridge of the islands of Kuzova in Karelia to the Solovetsky Island of the Arkhangelsk region. After the weather conditions worsened, the tourists decided to return.

"Four people in a pair of kayaks reached different islands of the Kuzova archipelago. Specialists from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations found and evacuated two people, and an Mi-8 helicopter was sent for two more. The fate of the three tourists is unknown," the Russian Emergencies Ministry's Telegram channel says.
