President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said on July 19 that Kiev had sent Moscow a proposal to hold a new round of talks next week.

According to him, the message was sent by the head of the Kiev regime's negotiating delegation, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rustem Umerov.

"NSDC Secretary Umerov said that he had offered the Russian side the next meeting next week. The negotiating dynamics need to be increased," Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.

Earlier in the day, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin told Izvestia that the Russian side did not yet have a date for the third round of negotiations with Ukraine.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on July 17 that the Russian delegation was ready to arrive in Istanbul to hold a third round of talks with Ukraine. According to her, negotiations between the Russian side and the Ukrainian side have "stalled" on the part of Kiev, which is either evading or has not yet decided on the date of a new round.
