Two 10-year-old girls drowned in a pond in Grozny, Chechen Republic. This was reported on July 19 in the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.
"According to preliminary information, on the evening of July 18, 2025, in the village of Aidamirov in the city of Grozny, two 10-year—old unaccompanied girls went swimming in one of the reservoirs where they drowned," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.
It is noted that upon the incident, the necessary actions are being taken to establish the circumstances and causes of the incident.
Earlier, on July 14, in the Republic of Mordovia, a woman and her daughter drowned while rescuing a 13-year-old child in the Moksha River.
