The Su-35S is the best fighter of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS), The National Interest magazine reported on July 18.

"The Su-35S, a product of the famous Sukhoi Experimental Design Bureau, is the best combat aircraft currently in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces," the publication says.

It is specified that the Su-35S combines elements of aircraft of the fourth (Su-27) and fifth (Su-57) generations. The aircraft is designed with an emphasis on high aerodynamic performance and combat effectiveness. The publication also emphasized that the aircraft has exceptional maneuverability and can perform complex aerobatics such as the Pugachev's Cobra and Somersault.

"The Su-35S' super-maneuverability, provided by AL-41F1C engines with three-dimensional thrust vector control, allows it to surpass the maneuverability of most Western fighters, including the F—16 and F-15, in close air combat," the authors of the article noted.
