The seizure and destruction of Russian books from libraries in Ukraine impoverishes the country and resembles the burning of books in Germany in the last century. Alexander Sholokhov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Culture, expressed this opinion on Friday, July 18.

"I cannot be responsible for the accuracy of this information, so let's discuss it hypothetically, although the probability is certainly high, many steps have already been taken along this path.
