Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) Armenia has appointed Romanos Petrosyan, an associate of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, as the interim manager of the Electric Grids of Armenia (ENA) owned by Russian businessman Samvel Karapetyan. This was announced on July 18 by the portal аrmlur.am with reference to the decision of the department.

"CROWE has appointed Romanos Petrosyan as the interim manager of the ESA," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, earlier Pashinyan dismissed Petrosyan from the post of head of the State Control Service.

On June 18, it became known about Karapetyan's detention. He was charged with calling for the seizure of power in Armenia and arrested for two months.

Later, Sputnik Armenia reported that the opposition political parties of the country's parliament appealed to the Constitutional Court demanding that the law on the nationalization of Armenia's Electric Grids be declared unconstitutional.
