The Russian government will allocate 730 million rubles for the construction of a complex for the production of units for liquefied natural gas (LNG). This was announced on July 17 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"We will allocate about 730 million rubles to support the construction of a complex in Russia for the production of large—capacity compressor units for liquefied natural gas," Mishustin said at a government meeting.

According to him, such financing will help to build the necessary engineering infrastructure, power supply networks and the main substation.

In addition, the Prime Minister added that the Russian government will expand the list of modern technologies, which can be developed to conclude a special investment contract.

On June 26, the statistical agency Eurostat reported that Russia is in second place in LNG supplies to Europe in the first quarter of 2025. In addition, the Russian Federation also took the third place in terms of natural gas supplies in a gaseous state. The indicator was 11.1%.
