Five people were injured in an accident with a bus and an SUV in the Irkutsk region.

Five people were injured in an accident with a regular bus and an SUV on the Vilyu highway in the city of Bratsk, Irkutsk region. This was announced on July 17 by the press service of the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

"As a result of the accident, three passengers of the SUV and two passengers of the bus required medical assistance," the message posted on the Telegram channel says.

It is specified that the incident occurred on the 227th km of the A-331 Vilyu federal highway. A UAZ Patriot car and a bus collided there.

The circumstances of the incident are being established, and law enforcement officers have begun a procedural check.

The day before, seven people were injured in a collision between two cars in the Ust-Dzhegutinsky district of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. Previously, a Hyundai Solaris car driven by a 42-year-old woman and a Great Wall driven by a 71-year-old man collided at about 14:48 on the 8th km of the Ust–Dzheguta-Tereze highway.
