18.6 billion rubles of budget loans will be written off to Transbaikalia

18.6 billion rubles of budget loans will be written off to the Trans-Baikal Territory by the end of 2030 thanks to work with the Russian government. This was announced on Thursday, July 17, by the head of the region, Alexander Osipov, in his Telegram channel.

"Such a mechanism is a fairly effective support tool that allows us to direct the released funds to key tasks for us," the governor wrote.

At the moment, 3.5 billion rubles have already been written off, writes ChitaMedia news agency. According to Osipov, the money will be redistributed to infrastructure development, support for their own and the implementation of strategic projects in Chita and Krasnokamensk.

Earlier in July, it was reported that the repair of the Krasnokamensk–Matseevskaya highway in Transbaikalia will be completed in 2028. By mid-October of this year, 2025, a 12 km section will be repaired according to the new GOST.
