Emergency mode introduced in Chita amid floods
Chita introduced a state of emergency (emergency) after floods in the region. This was announced on July 17 by the press service of the regional government.
"In accordance with the changes, a regional emergency regime has been introduced since July 15 within the boundaries of the Chita City district," the government's Telegram channel says.
It is noted that the governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory, Alexander Osipov, instructed to organize the work of assessment commissions after the water begins to leave the sites.
Also in the Central district of the city, the commission's specialists will inspect houses and areas that have been affected by floods, as well as assess the damage caused.
On the night of July 9-10, 105 mm of precipitation fell in Chita, which is the highest figure in the last 70 years. 74 mm of precipitation also fell in the village of Burgen, Chita region, overnight.
