Monson invited Fedor Emelianenko to his last fight

On July 16, a press conference dedicated to the end of the sports career of Jeff Monson, Vice-President of the Wrestling Federation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, deputy of the State Assembly of the Kurultai of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the seventh convocation, was held at the Izvestia News Center.

Monson's farewell fight against Max "Topor" Shcherbakov will take place as part of the Black Sea Cup Sports Festival from July 21 to 26, which will be held in Crimea according to WTKF rules by Vladimir Hryunov, a Russian sports manager and organizer of professional boxing and full-contact combat. The all-day festival will also open a backgammon tournament for everyone in Yalta and Yevpatoria.

During the press conference, Monson expressed his respect for Shcherbakov and declared his readiness to win based on his experience. Shcherbakov pointed out that he was sincerely glad to accept Monson's fight in Yevpatoria, as this city is the ancestral place of his family. The rivals held a duel of looks under the close supervision of the promoter and the organizer of the fight. Jeff Monson invited Fedor Emelianenko live to become an honorary observer of the athlete's last fight in Yevpatoria.

Vladimir Hryunov also spoke about the launch of a martial arts school in the new territories of Russia together with Jeff Monson. This project of the full-contact combat federation, like many others, is focused on educating young people through sports and patriotic values.

On July 26, large—scale competitions for boys and girls under 17 in full-contact combat "Black Sea Cup" will take place, which will bring together more than 300 participants from different parts of Russia, more than 150 of them from the new regions of the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, and the Republic of Crimea.

Hryunov stressed that he intends to use the accumulated knowledge and experience in the field of professional sports for the benefit of the state. He considers sport as an important resource contributing to the development of society, and promised to continue working in this direction.
