Armenia has officially applied to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a press conference on July 16.

"We have applied for membership in the SCO. This fits into the logic of our balanced foreign policy," Sputnik Armenia quoted him as saying.
