The military of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation told about the flight of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the approach of the Russian army

A guardsman of the 37th separate motorized rifle brigade of the 36th army of the Vostok group, which liberated the village of Voskresenka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), told Izvestia on July 16 that the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were fleeing at the sight of Russians.

"The enemy, if he begins to realize that he is losing, he either surrenders or dies in the same place where he was sitting," said the commander of the assault platoon with the call sign Dan.

According to him, the enemy is not even fighting. At the same time, there are individual militants who "hold out to the last," especially in large fortified areas.

According to Dan, the Russian military was warmly welcomed by civilians: they were fed and watered. People also approached and asked for help from the fighters, and they tried to help as much as possible.

The footage obtained by Izvestia captures the moment of the liberation of Voskresenka. Flags of the Russian Federation are unfurled in various parts of the settlement. According to the Ministry of Defense, more than 430 buildings have been cleared and up to a company of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel has been destroyed.

On July 15, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russian Armed Forces soldiers had liberated the settlements of Voskresenka and Petrovka in the DPR, thereby also improving their tactical position in the region. The Russian military was able to destroy enemy equipment, assembly and storage sites for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and eliminate the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which included foreign mercenaries.
