Peskov pointed to Russia's intention to defend its interests in the Baltic

Tensions are currently high in the Baltic, but Russia is determined to firmly defend its interests in the region. This was announced on July 14 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"Well, of course, the Baltic Sea is now, thanks to the very aggressive policy of the coastal states of Europe, a region where, one might say, tension reigns, there is tension in the atmosphere. Russia is determined to defend its interests in this region, its legitimate interests," Peskov said at a briefing.
