The Russian ambassador pointed to the use of Bornholm Island by NATO against Russia
The Danish island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea is being used as a NATO outpost against Russia. This was announced on July 14 by Russian Ambassador to Copenhagen Vladimir Barbin.
According to him, the militarization of the island is allegedly carried out because of the "threat from Russia." He added that the Russian side has never had aggressive intentions towards Denmark.
"Bornholm has become increasingly used as a NATO outpost in the Baltic against Russia," Barbin said in an interview with RIA Novosti
In addition, the ambassador pointed out that even during the Cold War, the island was not a place for military preparations.
On June 16, the Associated Press reported that Denmark had sent four Voyagers drones from the American company Saildrone to monitor the waters of the Baltic and North Seas amid rising tensions in the region. It was noted that four unmanned robotic sailing vessels were commissioned by the Danish Armed Forces for three months of operational testing.
