A criminal case has been opened in Donetsk over the death of a boy when a tree fell.

A criminal case has been opened into the death of a child when a tree fell in Donetsk. This was reported on July 13 in the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Donetsk People's Republic.

"A 10-year-old boy was in the courtyard of an apartment building. As a result of a strong gust of wind, the tree fell on the child. The minor died on the spot," the department's Telegram channel says.

Investigators have opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence"). The IC staff is investigating all the circumstances of the incident.
