Russian athlete Nikolay Kovalenko has signed a two-year contract with hockey club (HC) CSKA. This was announced on July 12 by the press service of the Moscow club.

According to Sport-Express, in the 2024/25 season, the striker played for the San Jose Sharks and the Colorado Avalanche in the National Hockey League (NHL). The 25-year-old has played in 57 games throughout his career. In them, he managed to score seven goals and give 13 assists.
On July 2, it became known that Spencer Martin, a Canadian goalkeeper from the National Hockey League, joined the CSKA hockey club. It was clarified that the 30-year-old hockey player played in 66 NHL games for Colorado, Vancouver, Columbus and Carolina, scoring 24 victories.
