As a result of an accident on the Artyom–Nakhodka highway, one person was killed and five others were injured. This was announced on July 12 by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Primorsky Territory in the Telegram channel.

"The 74-year-old driver of a Honda CR-V car with 30 years of experience driving vehicles, moving from the city of Artyom in the direction of Nakhodka, entered the lane intended for oncoming traffic, where he collided with a Toyota Vanguard car, in which there was a family of four people," the department said.

It is specified that the deceased is a 71-year-old passenger of a Honda CR-V. As a result of the accident, he suffered life-threatening injuries.

Five victims, including a minor, were taken to a medical facility with injuries of varying severity.

A criminal case has been opened against the culprit of the accident under Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles"). The details and circumstances of the incident are being investigated. A number of examinations were also ordered.

Earlier, on July 11, six people were injured in an accident with a bus and a truck in Omsk. It is specified that at the time of the incident there were 15 passengers in the bus cabin. The final causes and circumstances of the incident will be determined during the inspection.
