Senior sailor Khukalenko suppressed the reconnaissance drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine using electronic warfare

Guard Private Jalil Zainutdinov was acting as part of a unit of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation when the command set the task to take up new positions and organize defense. The Russian Ministry of Defense on Saturday, July 12, told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

Moving through the specified area by car, Zainutdinov discovered an FPV drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which was approaching the transport. The soldier decided to hide the car in a wooded area, and then shot down the drone with small arms fire. As a result, the drone fell into the field without harming anyone.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also noted the professionalism of senior sailor Ivan Khukalenko, who, as part of a battalion tactical group, took part in the defense of a settlement in the SVR zone.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces actively used drones and conducted artillery attacks on Russian positions. In these difficult circumstances, Khukalenko was monitoring the airspace when he noticed an approaching drone. Using electronic warfare (EW) equipment, the soldier landed the drone and made sure that it was intended for reconnaissance: there was no explosive device on it.

The drone was handed over to the command. Its study allowed the Russian military to calculate the location of the concentration of forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and eliminate it with artillery fire.

Earlier, on July 9, soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces demonstrated the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) "Supercam" in the area of their military. It was clarified that before launching, operators quickly deploy equipment in an open area. Preparation requires checking all systems and the correct orientation of the device to the cardinal points. The launch is carried out using a catapult, which is pre-inflated.
