Evolve will present the new most affordable hybrid car in Russia
The company Evolute plans to introduce a new model with a hybrid power plant in Russia. This car will be cheaper than the Evolute i-Space crossover. Andrey Reznikov, managing partner of the Evolute manufacturing company, told the Izvestia correspondent about this.
"We will present a hybrid model in the C-class, which is cheaper than the i-Space. It has just appeared on the Chinese market this year. It will be a state-of-the-art product. Unfortunately, previously the Russian market of localized electric vehicles could not boast of modern models due to, let's say, historical issues," said Reznikov.
According to the Autostat agency, the Evolve i-Space model has become the most affordable among all officially presented models with a hybrid power plant in Russia by the end of 2024.
The top manager shared that next year, outdated models by Chinese standards may not remain in production at the plant in the Lipetsk region due to the high speed of updating the model range by manufacturers in China.
"I think that next year we won't have platforms in production that are more than a year old. This imposes some limitations: we cannot localize the components earlier, because we understand that the existing product line is slightly behind international standards. And what we are launching is just being born. Accordingly, we will localize the universal components as quickly as possible," said Reznikov.
Earlier, on July 11, it was reported that Evolve intends to deepen the localization of cars in Russia and expand in 2026 the number of models that are produced at the plant in the Lipetsk region on a full cycle.
On May 7, it became known that the updated hybrid crossover Evolve i-Space will be available in Russia in August of this year, the assembly of cars with welding and painting at the plant in the Lipetsk region will begin in the third quarter.
