A fire broke out on board the superyacht Sea Lady II located in the port of Saint-Tropez resort in France. This was reported by Ici on July 10.

"The Maltese-flagged Sea Lady II caught fire in the bow at about 20:15 (21:15 Moscow time. — Ed.), at the height of the summer season, in the very popular tourist port of Saint-Tropez," the publication says.

30 specialists, two fire trucks and one boat were involved in extinguishing the fire. It is reported that the fire engulfed the three upper decks of the vessel.

As a result of the incident, two men aged 24 and 30 were poisoned due to smoke inhalation. They are currently receiving medical care.

On August 19, 2024, the 56-meter superyacht Bayesian sank due to a strong storm off the coast of Sicily. According to the British media, the ship went under water in about a minute.
