Representative office of PSB Bank opened in Abkhazia
Mikhail Dorofeev, Deputy Chairman of the PSB, opened a representative office of the bank in Sukhum. This was reported by the press service of the credit institution.
The ceremony was attended by Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, Badra Gunba, President of the Republic of Abkhazia, and Mikhail Shurgalin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic.
"The establishment of a representative office in Sukhumi has become an important point of the bank's presence in the republic — here it is possible to solve the main issues of card servicing without leaving Abkhazia. For many, this is really convenient and important," Dorofeev said.
He stressed that the bank had fulfilled the instructions of the President of Russia, having solved the task of ensuring uninterrupted pension payments to Russians permanently residing in Abkhazia. According to Dorofeev, the PSB has issued more than 20,000 debit cards — 98% of pensioners with Russian citizenship have received them.
The PSB debit pension card issued in Abkhazia does not differ from the cards received in Russia. Pensioners will not need to submit an application for transferring a pension to a PSB card to the Social Fund of Russia — the bank will do this on its own.
