In the Pskov region, about 9,5 thousand residents of the region remain without electricity after the hurricane. This was stated by Governor Mikhail Vedernikov.

According to the head of the region, quoted by the Pskov news feed, on the night of July 10, ROSSETI North-West specialists managed to connect about 100 settlements to the electricity supply, which felt the impact of the elements.

Restoration work is carried out by 109 brigades with the help of 111 pieces of equipment. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and road services were involved in eliminating the consequences of bad weather. Volunteers help them. By the end of the day, it is planned to repair the main damage to the power lines.

The hurricane came from the territory of Belarus and caused significant damage to the southern regions of the Pskov region.

Bad weather covered a number of cities and regions across Russia: in Omsk, snowdrifts formed after hail, and in the Yaroslavl region, the wind felled trees and disabled power lines. The Moscow region was also affected by the elements. The cyclone on July 9 affected the north-west of the Moscow region, including Istra and Khimki. The wind knocked down more than 50 trees. There were no casualties. According to the latest data, a total of 14 cars were damaged in the Moscow region due to fallen trees, and lights were lost in 73 settlements.
