The Ministry of Health of Dagestan reported the treatment of 274 people after poisoning with water

After poisoning with water in the Republic of Dagestan, 274 people turned to doctors. This was reported on July 9 in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Health in the region.

"On July 7, medical workers of the Magaramkent district, with the support of the republican infectious diseases specialists and epidemiologists of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Dagestan, continuously identify patients with intestinal infection in the area. Over the past two days, 274 people have been registered with symptoms of gastroenteritis, 270 of whom are children," the report says.

As indicated in the department, the Minister of Health for the Republic of Dagestan Yaroslav Glazov visited the hospital. During the visit, he checked how the medical institution provides care to patients with intestinal infection, conducted a tour of the departments.

The Ministry noted that additional beds had been deployed in the Central District Hospital of the Magaramkent district. At the moment, 84 patients with intestinal infection are being treated there, while the rest receive outpatient care. In addition, there is a positive trend in the patients' condition.

On the same day, it was reported that the director of a municipal institution in the Magaramkentsky district was detained in Dagestan after mass poisoning of residents of the district with water. A sanitary and epidemiological examination was ordered as part of the criminal case.
