The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia needs to create an electronic resource "Digital profile of a foreign citizen" by June 30, 2026. The corresponding decree was signed on June 9 by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"By June 30, 2026, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation should ensure the creation of a state information resource, the Digital Profile of a Foreign Citizen, containing information about foreign citizens and stateless persons," the document says.

It is specified that this profile will be used for all foreigners staying, leaving and staying in the country.

The decree states that the task of such a resource is to provide complete, reliable and up-to-date information for assessing the migration situation, as well as for developing and implementing measures to address migration issues.

On June 30, it was reported that the authorities would introduce new state duties for migrants. In particular, foreigners will now have to pay 500 rubles for registration at their place of residence, and a fee was also proposed for extending the period of temporary stay (1 thousand rubles) and for extending a work permit (4.2 thousand rubles).
