Macron questioned Britain's successful solution to problems without EU involvement
The UK may not be able to cope with migration and financial problems without the participation of the European Union (EU). This was announced on July 9 by French President Emmanuel Macron.
"I'm not sure that you handled migration and financial problems [alone] much better than you did with the EU," he said at Imperial College London.
The French president also called close ties the best way to solve critical problems in the field of research, science, and artificial intelligence.
The United Kingdom left the EU on January 31, 2020.
Earlier in the day, the Financial Times newspaper reported that the agreement with US President Donald Trump would lead to the EU facing higher duties, unlike the UK.
